Method 202 is used to measure the levels of condensable particulate matter (CPM)
from a stationary source of emission. It is often used in series with test methods that
measure filterable particulate matter (FPM), such as method 5, 17, or 201A. These
methods remove the FPM before the sample reaches the method 202 train, where it is
then collected in the dry impingers and on the out-of-stack CPM filter. There are specific
material and operational requirements that need to be met when performing method 202
testing, therefore it is important to consult the EPA method found at 40 CFR Part 51 prior
to testing. |
